SHRA partners with the City of Sacramento and the County of Sacramento Economic Development Departments to administer the Enterprise Zone Program which can help provide state tax credits and other assistance to qualifying businesses in certain targeted areas of Sacramento. These incentives will make a difference in the bottom line for local businesses and help build Sacramento’s economy.

Hiring Credits
Businesses may claim up to 50% of the qualified wages paid to a qualified employee as a credit against tax imposed on Enterprise Zone income.
Hiring Credits can total $31,000+ in 5 years per eligible employee. Credits are based on the smaller of the actual hourly wage paid or 150% of the minimum hourly wage.

Identification of hiring credit eligible employees is easy. Complete a Voucher Application form to determine if persons are from any of the targeted groups. You may also place a job order with “Sacramento Works” at no charge at (916) 263-3744. Sacramento Works is a coordinated network of Career Centers, employment programs, educational institutions and business assistance to help businesses find qualified job applicants to meet program requirements.

The Enterprise Zone Program may be updated from time to time.
The City and County of Sacramento and City of Rancho Cordova have been conditionally designated as part of the new Sacramento Regional Enterprise Zone, which provides tax incentives for eligible businesses located within zone boundaries.

Florin-Perkins Enterprise Zone
The Florin Perkins Enterprise Zone offers businesses tremendous expansion potential with over 72 million square feet of available land. It offers excellent transportation access (Highway 50 and Highway 99) and very competitive land and lease rates. This industrially zoned area is also a state designated Recycling Market Development Zone.
Northern Sacramento Enterprise Zone
Northern Sacramento Enterprise Zone is the newest zone in Sacramento. It incorporates the former Northgate/Norwood zone and is one of Sacramento's fastest growing regions. It is only minutes from the Sacramento International Airport, the central downtown business district and major freeways (Highway 50 and Interstate 80). This area offers a productive work environment for manufacturing, commercial and high-tech industries.

Sacramento Army Depot
Sacramento Army Depot is located in the center of the Florin Perkins Zone. This zone, marketed as Depot Park, has over 2 million square feet of existing space with additional sites available for build-to-suit. It provides a strategic location (Highway 50 and Highway 99) for office, research and development, industrial, manufacturing and distribution uses. Competitive lease rates, a secure environment and abundant parking make this an ideal business location. This industrially zoned area is also a state designated Recycling Market Development Zone. Leasing is handled centrally by The Central Valley Industrial Group at Colliers International at 916-563-3000.
