The Housing Authority received a $10 million Public Housing Capital Funds grant award from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to renovate a downtown residential high-rise for low income elderly residents.
Sacramento was the only city in California to receive a share of the $50 million grant which was awarded to housing authorities across the country through a competitive application process.
