Capital Fund Recovery Competition Grant Program

| The American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) includes a $4 billion appropriation of
Capital Fund for Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) to carry out capital and
management activities as authorized under Section of the United States
Housing Act of 1937. An award of $1 billion will be made to PHAs through
the Capital Fund Recovery Competition (CFRC) Grants process. Funds will be
competitively awarded for housing renovation, energy conservation retrofit
and priority investments. The City of Sacramento Housing Authority has applied for the maximum grant amount of $10 million for the substantial rehabilitation of Riverview Apartments, a 12-story mixed-use building with three floors of office space and108 elderly residential units. Contact: |
