FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY LAUNCHES ONLINE INTERACTIVE JOB APPLICATION PROCESS Applicants can customize forms to apply for jobs with other government agencies March 12, 2008 – Sacramento, California. The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency has launched a web-based system that allows people to submit job applications through its website at www.shra.org. Applicants are able to create a user account and password on a secure system powered by NeoGov that will allow them to save and update basic information and transfer it to job applications with other agencies that use the same system, such as the City and County of Sacramento. “This new online system creates a more user friendly process that makes applying for jobs much more efficient and convenient,” said Agency Director of Administration Jim Shields. “Applicants can choose how they want to be notified about the status of their application and schedule their own interviews.” The new online process allows applicants to attach supplemental information, apply for multiple positions or complete a job interest card to receive an automatic email notification when a job announcement is posted. They can also access job descriptions and information about salaries and benefits. Applications may still be submitted by mail or in person. Job opportunities are posted on the 24-hour hotline at (916) 440-1336. # # #
