SHRA also administers approximately 11,000 rental assisted vouchers per month. “One Community, One Vision” 630 I Street, Sacramento, California 95814 (916) 444-9210 phone (916) 441-1197 fax FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 13, 2008 City Redevelopment Agency Releases $25 Million in Funding For Mixed-Income Housing Development Redevelopment Agency seeks housing proposals for Downtown Redevelopment Area Sacramento, CA - On May 6, 2008, the Redevelopment of Agency of the City of Sacramento approved $25 million in available funding for the development of mixed-income housing in downtown Sacramento which is the largest Notice of Funding Available (NOFA) released by the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA – www.shra.org). The Redevelopment Agency is seeking proposals to develop mixed-income housing within the Merged Downtown Sacramento Redevelopment Area, giving priority on projects proposed in the JKL Corridor. Desired proposals should include development for the purpose of rental and ownership housing (including mixed-use, live/work, loft), new construction (30 units or more), rehabilitation (30 units or more), or adaptive reuse. Priority will be given to proposals that include a mix of market-rate and affordable housing units, are located in the JKL Corridor, contain a mix of uses, have superior sustainable urban design, and projects that have over 100 residential units. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, May, 28, 2008, 10:00 AM, at the Agency’s Commission Room located at 600 I Street, 1st Floor.
