The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (www.shra.org) donated the house to NeighborWorks® which moved it from an Agency-owned parcel on Ninth Avenue across Stockton Boulevard to 3324 43rd Street and completed the rehabilitation work on the home. Agency officials say the project represents a $400,000 investment in the community. "Today's celebration represents an important component in the larger City and Agency strategy to address housing needs in Oak Park and to revitalize the urban core of the community," said Redevelopment Manager Celia Yniguez. The lot where the Blue Bungalow once stood now presents a significant development opportunity that SHRA will pursue for Oak Park. Agency officials cited a number of completed, current and potential revitalization projects in Oak Park including: . 4th Avenue Lofts with 10 loft style market rate ownership units including three live/work units . $525,000 investment in traffic calming and drainage improvements on 8th Avenue between MLK and 42nd Street . Installation of more than 170 streetlights underway . Oak Park Community Center Expansion in partnership with the City investment of more than $5 million . Future public enhancements such as street improvements along Broadway .
