Foreclosure Education and Resource Information

SHRA offers a resource page with links to agencies that can provide counseling and additional helpful information if you are facing default or foreclosure on your mortgage loan. An events page has been added to help you find informational meetings and workshops.

If you are facing the loss of your home, attend a community meeting or workshop for education and information about avoiding foreclosure, or call a HUD-certified homeownership or credit counseling agency on our resource list for help.

Home Repair - SHRA also offers several grants and loans for current, low-income homeowners who need some financial help with home repairs and other improvements.

AB 987 Low to Moderate Income Housing - AB 987 requires redevelopment agencies to compile and maintain a database of existing, new and substantially rehabilitated housing units that were developed or otherwise assisted with money form the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund, or that were replaced after destruction or removal pursuant to Heath & Safety Code section 33413.  This database includes a list of those housing units and was last updated January 1, 2008.  This list  is updated annually on a calendar year basis.

Developing New Affordable Housing - SHRA is constantly searching for new opportunities and partnerships with the private sector to develop additional affordable housing for the Sacramento region. If you’re a housing developer that wants to really make a difference in Sacramento, our Community Development and Housing Policy and Development departments want to talk to you!

Multifamily Rental Resource Site - The purpose of this site is to provide the community with a viable source of information to assist low-income families in obtaining affordable housing. The information provided here gives a detailed account of the multifamily rental projects funded in part or in whole through Agency loans under the Multifamily Housing Program. These rental complexes are required to maintain a certain percentage of rental units at affordable rates for occupancy only by low-income families.
