Change in Family Composition

If the family wishes to add a family member (other than birth, adoption, or court awarded custody of a child) the family must obtain approval from the Housing Authority AND the owner/agent of the rental unit. 

The Housing Authority will conduct a criminal background investigation on the person the family is requesting to add. Upon approval, the Housing Authority will send the owner/agent Request To Add Additional Household Members Form to complete. Once the owner/agent returns the signed Add-On Form the new household member will be added to the lease and contract.

The new household member will be required to report all income, and abide by the same provisions as the rest of the household. 

Addition of a household member without Housing Authority approval is a program violation
