Welcome to the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency's Multifamily Rental Resource Site!

The information in this site should not be confused with the Housing Authority's Public Housing programs or with the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program.  Information and links for the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs can be found under the Housing Authority link.

The purpose of this site is to provide the community with a viable source of information to assist low-income families in obtaining affordable housing. The information provided here gives a detailed account of the multifamily rental projects funded in part or in whole through Agency loans under the Multifamily Housing Program. These rental complexes are required to maintain a certain percentage of rental units at affordable rates for occupancy only by low-income families.

We have designed this site to be both educational and a housing resource that outlines how to assist low-income families seeking affordable housing. This site provides accurate and timely information on the number of assisted units, bedroom sizes, and affordability levels of agency assisted projects. In addition, it gives a sample of the projects' vacancies and rental rates based on the last project review. The actual number of vacancies and rental rates may vary for each project. Contact each project directly for up to date vacancy and rental information.

Note: Some of the projects have modified units with handicapped accessibility improvements.

The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency multifamily affordable housing program does not give referrals to low-income families for affordable housing. However, we have put together a list of steps to follow when trying to help low-income families find affordable housing.

AB 987 Low to Moderate Income Housing - AB 987 requires redevelopment agencies to compile and maintain a database of existing, new and substantially rehabilitated housing units that were developed or otherwise assisted with money form the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund, or that were replaced after destruction or removal pursuant to Heath & Safety Code section 33413.  This database includes a list of those housing units and was last updated January 1, 2008.  This list  is updated annually on a calendar year basis.
