INVITATION FOR BID
The Housing Authority of the City of Sacramento is soliciting sealed bids for Invitation for Bid
(IFB) No. 2009098-LG for 35th Street Townhomes Rehab 2009 at 2910 35th Street, Sacramento, CA 95817. Possible subcontracting trades are Cabinet,
Millwork & Finish Carpentry; Concrete; Construction Clean-up; Doors, Gates
& Activating Devices; Drywall; Earthwork & Paving; Electrical; Fencing;
Flooring & Floor Covering; Framing & Rough Carpentry; Glazing;
Hardware, Locks & Safes; Insulation & Acoustical; Lathing &
Plastering; Ornamental Metal; Painting
& Decorating; Plumbing; Roofing; Synthetic Products/Countertops/Tub
Surrounds; Tree Service; and Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation & AC. The
estimated bonding range is between $400,000 and $410,000.
Bids
will be received at the Procurement Services Division, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California until 10:00 a.m. on December 14,
2009 at which time and place all bids received will be publicly
opened and read aloud.

deposit of $100.00 check or money order only is required for the first set of plans and any additional plans
may be purchased through Signature Reprographics. Deposits
will be refunded if plans are returned in good condition, to Signature Reprographics,
no later than three weeks after bid opening.

All
interested licensed “B” General Building Contractors should plan to attend the first Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for November 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at 320 Commerce
Circle, Sacramento, California with a site
visit following the Pre-Bid Conference.
A second Pre-Bid Conference is
scheduled for December 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at 320 Commerce Circle,
Sacramento, California with a second site visit following the Pre-Bid
Conference. Site visits will only be
conducted immediately following each Pre Bid Conference. All contractors are urged to attend one of
the two Pre-Bid Conferences including the site inspection. Prime
contractors are encouraged to bring any subcontractors interested in
visiting the site to the Pre Bid Conference and site visit. Although attendance
is not mandatory, contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of
the existing site conditions.
This
contract is subject to Federal labor standards, affirmative action
requirements, Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 1968, and Minority and
Women Owned Business Enterprise standards.
All bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid
Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the
amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract
Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a
security in the amount of the performance retention.
The Sacramento Housing and
Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any
informalities in the bidding. The Agency
