INVITATION FOR BID
The Housing Authority of the County of Sacramento and Housing Authority of
the City of Sacramento are soliciting
sealed bids for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 2009078-LH for Block DD - Rehab of Three Single Family
Homes, located at 2184 50th Avenue, Sacramento CA 95822; 7612 51st Avenue, Sacramento CA 95828; and 6641 Dawson Way, Sacramento
CA 95823. Possible subcontracting trades are Asbestos
Removal; Cabinet, Millwork & Finish Carpentry; Concrete; Construction
Clean-up; Doors, Gates & Activating Devices; Drywall; Electrical; Fencing; Flooring
& Floor Covering; Framing & Rough Carpentry; Glazing; Hardware, Locks
& Safes; Hydroseed Spraying; Insulation &
Acoustical; Landscaping; Lathing & Plastering; Lead Removal; Mold Removal; Painting & Decorating; Plumbing; Roofing; Scaffolding;
Synthetic Products/Countertops/Tub Surrounds; and Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation
& AC. The estimated bonding range is between $200,000
and $220,000.

This contract is subject to the Buy American
requirements of Section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of
2009 (ARRA); whereby, all of the iron, steel, and manufactured goods used in
the project are domestic. This
contract is also subject to Section 1606 of the ARRA requiring the payment of
prevailing wages in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act.
This
contract is subject to Federal labor standards, affirmative action requirements,
Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 1968, Minority and Women Owned
Business Enterprise standards. All
bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the
amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the
amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract
Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a
security in the amount of the performance retention.
The Sacramento Housing and
Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any
