INVITATION
FOR BID
The Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Sacramento on behalf of the City of Sacramento Economic Development Department
is soliciting sealed bids for
Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 2009068-LG for 708 K Street Hazardous Materials Abatement;
bio-hazard removal, asbestos abatement, lead remediation, and partial
demolition among several floors in one structure located at 708 K Street,
Sacramento, CA 95814. Possible subcontracting trades are
Asbestos Removal; Building Moving/Demolition; Construction Clean-up;
Construction Zone Traffic Control; and Lead Removal. The
estimated bonding range is between $50,000 and $75,000.

A deposit of $20.00 check or money order only
is required for the
first set of plans and any additional plans may be purchased through Signature
Reprographics. Deposits will be refunded if plans are
returned in good condition, to Signature Reprographics, no later than three
weeks after bid opening.

interested licensed “B” General Building, C-21 Building Moving/Demolition and/or
Hazardous Materials Abatement Contractors should plan to attend the first Pre-Bid Conference scheduled
for October 6, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.,
at 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California with a site visit following the
Pre-Bid Conference. A second Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled
for October 14, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., at 320 Commerce Circle,
This
contract is subject to State labor standards. All bidders will be required to furnish
and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the
total bid price. The successful
bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond
and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public
Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency
substitute a security in the amount of the performance
retention.
The Sacramento Housing and
Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any
informalities in the bidding. The
