ADVERTISEMENT FOR INVITATION TO BID

 

The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Sacramento is soliciting bids and will receive sealed bids for Invitation to Bid (IFB) No. 2008059-LG for the Hazardous Materials Abatement (asbestos, lead and mold) at 1124 Del Paso Blvd., Sacramento, CA  95815.  This is a two-phase project:  the Interior is to be completed as Phase 1 and the roofing is to be started within 90 days (with two weeks notice) as Phase 2.  The estimated bonding range is between $20,000.00 and $30,000.00. 

 

Bids will be received at the Procurement Services Division, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California until 2:00 P.M. on August 14, 2008 at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A deposit of $30.00 check or money order only is required for the first set of plans and any additional plans may be purchased through Signature Reprographics.  Deposits will be refunded if plans are returned in good condition, to Signature Reprographics, no later than three weeks after bid opening.

All interested licensed Hazardous Materials Contractors should plan to attend the Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for August 7, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at the Mezzanine Conference Room, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California with a site visit following the Pre-Bid Conference.  There will only be one pre-bid conference for this project.  A site visit will only be conducted immediately following the Pre Bid Conference.  All contractors are urged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference including the site inspection.  Although attendance is not mandatory, contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.

 

This contract is subject to State labor standards.  All bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price if the bid is over $25,000.  Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention.
