INVITATION TO BID
The
Redevelopment Agency of the County of
Sacramento is soliciting bids and will
receive sealed bids for Invitation to Bid (IFB) No. 2008053-LG for the River City Motel Demolition: demolish approximately
10,000 sq. ft. wood frame, stucco, masonry buildings, clear site of paving and
landscaping at 4700 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95820.
Possible subcontracting trades are Asbestos Abatement and Lead
Abatement. The estimated bonding range
is between $85,000 and $95,000.

A
deposit of $20.00 check or money order only
is required for the first set of plans and any additional plans may be
purchased through Signature Reprographics.
Deposits will be refunded if
plans are returned in good condition, to Signature Reprographics, no later than
three weeks after bid opening.

All interested licensed “A” License
General Engineering, “B” License General Building, and/or C-21 Building
Moving/Demolition Contractors should plan to attend the first Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for September 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.,
at the Maintenance Conference Room, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California
with a site visit following the Pre-Bid Conference. A second
Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for October 2, 2008 at 1:30 p.m., at the
Maintenance Conference Room, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California with a
second site visit following the Pre-Bid Conference. Site visits will only be
conducted immediately following each Pre Bid Conference. All contractors are urged to attend one of
the two Pre-Bid Conferences including the site inspection. General contractors are encouraged to bring
any subcontractors interested in visiting the site to the Pre Bid Conference
and site visit. Although attendance is not mandatory, contractors will be
required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.
This
contract is subject to State labor standards.
All bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid
Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the
amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract
Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a
security in the amount of the performance retention.
The
Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject any or
all bids and waive any informalities in the
bidding. The Agency is an Equal
