Meeting Minutes

  1. CALL TO ORDER
  2. Christopher Golden called the meeting to order at 6:00pm

  3. ROLL CALL
  4. Present: Richard Greene, May Lee, Cheryl Martin, Dawna Mitchell, Barbara Brown, Elgin Bradley, Quonzeles Byrd

    Absent: Mary Calhoun

    Agency Staff Present: Christopher Golden

  5. *APPROVAL OF MINUTES
  6. The minutes were approved by a motion from Barbara Brown with a vote of 5 ayes and 0 noes

    The discrepancy between the numbers of votes and the attendees was due to late arrivals.

  7. REDEVELOPMENT ITEMS
  8. A. RAC Interviews

    Christopher Golden gave an update regarding the resignation of Rebecca Luu and the reopening of several RAC seats.

    B. Review of the Brainstorming session on 1.8.2004

    Christopher Golden presented the results of the bond allocation brainstorming session from the Jan. 8, 2004 meeting. A lengthy debate and discussion followed resulting in the prioritization of activities for bond fund allocation in the redevelopment area.

    C. Stockton Boulevard Investment Strategy

    Due to in depth discussion and debate required for the bond allocation brainstorming session, this issue was carried over until the next meeting.

    D. Design Review

    The RAC reviewed the plans for two projects proposed for the Stockton Redevelopment Area and gave their comments regarding both projects.

    E. Redevelopment Area Update

    An update was provided regarding the sewer rehabilitation project on Fruitridge Rd.

  9. COMMUNICATION FROM RAC MEMBERS AND PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
  10. 1. Dawna Mitchell updated the RAC regarding pedestrian improvements and community involvement in the Fruitridge Pocket Area.

  11. ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 8.15pm
