Rancho Cordova Area

| Rancho Cordova is a primarily urbanized community that, though not a formally designated redevelopment area, has been a target of Agency assistance for the past several years. Rancho Cordova is located fifteen miles east of Sacramento on State Highway 50 and is a bustling area for many nationally recognized corporations. The former Mather Air Force Base is also located in Rancho Cordova, and it is a designated redevelopment area that is being revitalized into a major commerce center and Airpark. |

| Past Agency programs have focused primarily on the older areas of the Rancho Cordova community. Assistance from the Agency, the County, the local Chamber of Commerce and others has begun to help turn around deteriorating infrastructure, businesses and housing in the area. | |
