Redevelopment Advisory Committee

 

I.                   CALL TO ORDER - Paul Blankenship, Vice-Chairperson

                        The meeting was called to order byVice-Chairperson Paul Blankenship

 

II.                ROLL CALL

                        Tricia Powers from SHRA called roll and reported the following:

                        In attendance:                   Blankenship, Pagan, Worjnarowski,

                        Absent:                             Swinburn, Shumaker (Excused)

                        Agency Staff:                    Tricia Powers, Chris Pahule and Chris Golden

                       

 

III.             WELCOMING REMARKS

                        Paul Blankenship, Vice-Chairperson of the Franklin Boulevard RAC gave the welcoming     remarks.

           

IV.              APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES

                        Since the Franklin Boulevard RAC did not have a quorum, an informal but unanimous                         recommendation of the minutes from the August meeting was given.

 

V.                  ACTION ITEMS

                         (the committee does not have a quorum at this time; however the members may make an informal                            recommendation on items in this category).

 

A.     *Franklin Blvd. Five Year Implementation Plan

            Tricia Powers presented the 2005 – 2009 Franklin Boulevard Draft implementation plan. The             RAC members gave a unanimous but informal recommendation to accept the draft plan and its             project list.

 

B.       Update Regarding Other Redevelopment Projects, Programs and Activities

                        Tricia Powers gave an update regarding various redevelopment projects, programs, and                         projects in the Redevelopment Area. Tricia Powers also announced that she would no                         longer be working with the Franklin Boulevard RAC. Due to reorganizations taking place                         within SHRA, Tricia will be relocated to the Oak Park Redevelopment Area. In her place,                         Christopher Golden will be taking over duties in the Franklin Boulevard Redevelopment                         Area.

 

VI.              INFORMATION ITEMS

A.     Curtis Park Village Project Update, Phil Harvey – Petrovich Development Company

                        Phil Harvey from Petrovich Development Company presented the most recent plans for                         development at the rail yards next to Curtis Park.

 

VII.           COMMUNICATION FROM RAC AND PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT OTHERWISE ON THE AGENDA
