Cheryl Rose of the City of Sacramento’s Department of Parks and Recreation presented this item to the committee. The City’s Youth Workreation Program is an eight-week summer youth development program. Youth are given vocational training though volunteer projects and clean up projects. One summer crew is assigned to the Franklin Blvd. Redevelopment Area (funded through Community Development Block Grant funds). Ms. Rose solicited projects from the committee for the youth crews to work on in summer 2004.
Leim Huynh, County Planning applicant, presented this item to the committee. He reviewed his plan for the development at 6440 46th Street. The development will be a two-story structure consisting of 8 townhouses each approximately 1300 sq. ft. of living space (3 bedrooms and 1 car garage). The applicant is the owner of the property and plans to manage the construction of the townhouses. The committee commented that there will be a need for an on-site manager since these units will be rental. The committee also commented that under a general contractor’s license, the contractor may not do plumbing and electrical work – these items must be sub-contracted. It was recommended that the applicant speak with someone from County Planning regarding the building requirements.
This item was continued to the June 9th RAC meeting.
Tricia Powers presented this item. The following updates were given:
VII COMMUNICATION FROM RAC AND PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT OTHERWISE ON THE AGENDA
