Franklin Redevelopment Advisory Committee Minutes:

Meeting of March 17, 2004

Location: Sacramento Children’s Home

 

  1. CALL TO ORDER – Darrin Pradie, Committee Chairperson
  2. The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m.

  3. ROLL CALL - Tricia Powers, SHRA
  4. Present: Darrin Pradie, Paul Blankenship, Vivian Swinburn, Anita Shumaker, and Kathy Wojnarowski

    Excused Absence: Caleb Pagan

  5. WELCOMING REMARKS – Darrin Pradie
  6. APPROVAL OF JANUARY 2004 RAC MEETING MINUTES
  7. The minutes were not approved at this meeting, as there was not a quorum. An action will be taken on the minutes at the next meeting.

  8. ACTION ITEMS – There were no action items.
  9. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS –
    1. Colonial Bend Estates, Tom Cook, Ticon Construction
    2. Proposal submitted to the City of Sacramento, Planning Division to subdivide 2.2 acres into 12 - 17 lots for single family homes at 3001 26th Avenue. The homes are slated for colonial style, two stories with a granny flat in the back. Total square footage will be between 1400 and 1700 with pricing not to exceed $250,000. Tenancy to be owner occupied.

      They will report back to the board with the final design once approved.

    3. MLK Auto Center, Greg Hatfield
    4. Proposal submitted to the County of Sacramento Planning Department for a multi tenant 7500 square foot facility with multi auto bay occupancy for automotive repairs, tire sales, oil lube and filter facility at 6421 Martin Luther King Blvd. Individual services will be performed inside the building and outside lot will be secured with fencing and gates.

    5. Herrera Family Soccer Complex, Duane Johnson
    6. Proposal submitted to the County of Sacramento for a 10 acre 57,000 square foot indoor soccer facility at 3100 47th Avenue. The facility is for all age group soccer teams for both practice and tournaments. To be included on the grounds is a snack shop, outside and indoor playing fields and locker. 398 parking spaces will be provided. Direct lighting for nighttime play will be taken into consideration for the surrounding neighbors.

    7. Franklin Boulevard Business Association, Marlene Deangelo
    8. FBBA has been updating business rosters of the designated area. Annual meeting took place on March 16, 2004 at the Caballo Blanco Restaurant on Franklin Blvd. Current focus is on the upcoming PBID for part of Franklin Blvd.
