Presentations

  1. The King Project (aka the Golden Day Project) Update, Chris Glaudel
  1. Franklin Blvd. Business Association Quarterly Report, Ernie & Marlene DeAngelo

· Report covers January thru March, will return next month for April thru July;

· Goal "Cleaning up the Boulevard." The La Plaza Exterior Rebate Project supports this goal. The Grand Re-opening for the 4700 block on Franklin will be held on June 26 at noon;

· Partnership: City/County – rather than just issuing the citation instead they are working to fix the problem;

· Quarterly Newsletter to come out in June;

· Police cannot keep people from loitering on private property unless a sign is posted in a highly visible area in both English and Spanish. FBBA has signs for sale;

· Vacant lot at the corner of Franklin/Fruitridge has been purchased by owner of Jimboy’s Tacos on Franklin, John Avalos, who is currently working with planning, ED, District 5 Office, FBBA and SHRA to find some assistance to develop that site;

· Sacramento Tints n’ Tunes moved into the former Al’s Feed Store and will be having their grand opening shortly;

· FBBA asked staff to report on status of Exterior Rebate Program – Staff responded that the program is still closed at this time, but the program is being reworked into a loan program rather than a grant program – more information to come.
