City of Sacramento Residential and Commercial Design Guidelines - Del Paso Heights Redevelopment Area

  • Residential Guidelines
  1. Single Family Homes
  2. Multi-Family Homes
  3. Manufactured Homes

The Del Paso Heights Redevelopment Area was created in 1970 and covers approximately 1,071 acres. The redevelopment plan for Del Paso Heights has been amended five times, most recently in 1998, and will expire in 2010. Since 1991 SHRA has worked to support economic development, continue public facilities improvements, and to facilitate and assist private development, especially along Marysville Boulevard.

The award-winning headquarters building for the Greater Sacramento Urban League located on Marysville Boulevard in Del Paso Heights was a project initiated and funded through SHRA.  The building was completed in April 2001.

SHRA has assisted in the productive reuse of properties in Del Paso Heights by commissioning a number of site-specific and area-wide environmental investigations to better characterize the extent of such impacts, and the remediation measures necessary, to enable future development. It has also used its authority to seek monetary assistance from past owners of such sites in the clean-up process. Through these processes and many others, SHRA is working to revitalize the Del Paso Heights Redevelopment Area for future community growth.
