2008-2012 Consolidated Plans Outreach Process The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, on behalf of the City and County of Sacramento, is in the process of updating the existing five-year Consolidated Plans. Currently, Sacramento City and County receive approximately $20 million in combined Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADD), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and Housing for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) funds. These five-year planning documents provide the overall parameters for the expenditure of these funds. In order to receive valuable citizen input regarding critical areas of need, SHRA staff launched a comprehensive outreach process for the Plans. In addition, the Plans will tie to existing City and County visions and priorities. The outreach plan gathered input through the following avenues: Community Meetings Notices were placed in the Sacramento Bee and flyers where mailed to residences in the surrounding area: City Meetings . Oak Park Community Center: June 20, 2006 from 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM . Robertson Community Center: August 2, 2006 from 6:30 PM- 7:30 PM . Belle Coolidge Community Center: August 8, 2006 from 7:30 PM-9:00 PM County Meetings . North Highlands Recreation Center: June 29, 2006 from 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM . County DHA Building-Fulton Avenue Bureau: July 20, 2006 from 7:00 PM- 8:30 PM . Florin Road Sheriff Substation: July 25, 2006 from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM . Jean Harvie Community Center: August 16, 2006 from 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM Surveys: Surveys were available in Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Spanish and English. The online survey was only available in English. The online survey was placed at www.Sacramento-CP-Survey.com as well as on the City of Sacramento, the County of Sacramento, and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency’s websites. The surveys in all languages were distributed to the following: . Housing Authority – surveys included in recertification mail outs for the months of June – August, 2006 . Distributed at City General Plan meetings .
