Ms. Chiang called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Roll call was conducted.
RAC Members Present: Mario Affinito, Jose Chacon, Don Colquitt, Burnie Lenau, Timothy Lien, Dorothy Medley, Ted Ortiz, Rosalie Vierra, Steve Vourakis, liz wills
RAC Members Absent: Joseph Hensler
Staff Present: Ya-yin Chiang (SHRA), Jim Simon (RSG)
Stephanie Mizuno, with the City Clerk’s Office briefly reviewed and discussed the Form 700 conflict of interest statements required to be filed by each RAC member.
A. Owner Participation, Property Acquisition and Relocation Process
Jim Simon with RSG, the Agency’s redevelopment consultant firm on the Army Depot plan amendment gave a presentation on the owner participation, property acquisition and relocation process. During the presentation, there was discussion and questions in regards to the background and history of the Army Depot Redevelopment Project, history on the 1998 plan amendment, prior initiatives in the existing and proposed added area, and more specific questions in regards to the draft Third Amendment. At the end of the discussion, Ms. Chiang indicated that she would return at the next meeting with additional information on the questions that were raised after some research.
B. Third Amendment to the Army Depot Redevelopment Plan
Due to time constraints, it was agreed by the Committee that this item will be discussed at the next RAC meeting.
C. Redevelopment Area Report
Ms. Chiang announced that a Community Meeting to discuss the proposed Amendment would be held on May 17, 2004 in the multi-purpose room at the Sim Center. Committee members were invited to attend this meeting.
