ITEMS AND QUESTIONS OF COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Hoag raised the issue of the
washer/dryer revenues and said since the new contract wasn’t signed until March
2006 for implementation effective February 2006, that the monies generated in
December 2005 and January 2006 should be given to the residents.
Anne said she would followup on the issue, and
commented that this is part of the budget situation that the Agency is
facing.
Commissioner Hoag also mentioned the delay in
getting monies to the resident committees.
Mary Liz Paulson, Assistant Director of HCV & Applications, said staff has made a change in how they are
working with the resident committees, and that resident committees now operate under
the umbrella of the Resident Advisory Board (RAB). She explained that the funding passes from
the housing authority to the RAB and from the RAB to the resident committees. She said the resident committee should make
their requests to the RAB for funding certain resident activities.
Commissioner Hoag said it would be nice if the
Agency would reinstitute the “Second Hand Rose” dinner for the residents.
Leoma Lee, Secretary of the RAB, gave an
explanation of how the RAB receives funding requests from the committees, and
she invited Commissioner Hoag to attend the RAB meeting scheduled for this
