How to Apply at SHRA

Applications to live at SHRA-owned Public Housing and for rental assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program must be made through the Agency's Housing Authority at 701 12th Street, Sacramento, CA, 95814. General information can be obtained by calling (916) 440-1390. Landlords or property agents interested in utilizing the Housing Choice Voucher Program should contact Suzan Louden or Regina Davidson. Persons who want to become first-time homebuyers using their Housing Choice Vouchers should call (916) 447-2896. If you want to buy your first home and need help with the down payment, contact SHRA's Loan Processing Office at (916) 264-1500 to find out if your income level qualifies for financial assistance. Teachers interested in buying their first home in the Sacramento area may be eligible to take advantage of SHRA's special assistance program for educators managed by our Loan Processing Office.
