The Agency has received the Operating Budget Meritorious Award for calendar year 2016 for excellence in municipal financial reporting. The award was presented by the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. This is the fourth time that the Agency has earned the award. 

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded the 2016 Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The award marks the 24th consecutive year that SHRA has received the recognition. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

SHRA operates on a calendar fiscal year from January 1 to December 31. The Agency has a FY 2017 budget of $190.5 million and 230 employees.
